Bickerton Wins the Perrysburg Invitational
Brandon Bickerton of Medina Highland defeated three top-10 opponents on his way to winning the 106-pound title at the Perrysburg Invitational Tournament (PIT) – one of the toughest regular season tournaments in the state.
Bickerton defeated D1 #9 Dubendorfer (Whitmer) in the quarterfinals and then D3 #3 Tammarine (Liberty Center) in the semifinals.
This set him up against D1 #1 Ayden Dodd (Perrysburg) in the finals. The match went to overtime, where Brandon earned a takedown in sudden victory to claim the championship bout.
Brandon Bickerton is now the #1 ranked wrestler at 106-pounds in division 1 after his impressive weekend.
