Kohen Horvath (Edison)

Horvath, the #1-ranked 165-pounder in division 3, won the Sandusky Bay Conference this weekend with two wins over top-15 opponents. He took down D3 #12 Malakii Pinkelton of Port Clinton in the semifinals and then defeated returning state runner-up and D2 #1 Kaiyon McKinney of Perkins, by a score of 5-0 in the finals.

Horvath was named the SBC tournament MVP and helped lead his team to the “Bay Division” team title.

Alex Taylor (Mt. Vernon)

Alex Taylor of Mt. Vernon pinned D2 #3 Grant Miller of West Holmes on his way to the Ohio Cardinal Conference finals where he defeated D1 #12 Cayden Spotts of Ashland by a score of 4-1.

Taylor is currently the #1-ranked 215-pounder in division 1.

Marcus Blaze (Perrysburg)

World Champion, Marcus Blaze, continued his winning ways, picking up a fall and a tech fall over two top-10 opponents at the Northern Lakes Leagues championships this weekend. He defeated D2#7 Romeo Cordoba of Napoleon in the semifinals before downing D1#7 Jaiden Sarabia of Whitmer in the finals by a score of 27-12.

Blaze is currently #1-ranked P4P wrestler in the state of Ohio and the #4-ranked P4P wrestler in the nation.

  17. Hands down, Marcus Blaze. Best wrestler in the state, country and World. Good thing Joey graduated or else that #1 165 would have a Blaze name too.
