Which moves will make the biggest impact?
Graham moves to D3
By far the biggest news to come out of the new divisional breakdown is 26-time state champion St. Paris Graham dropping to D3.
They have reigned supreme over D2 for the past 24-years, but have now left a void in the middle-division. Look for Bishop Watterson to fill that void and establish their own dynasty.
After the 2024 season, it appeared that Delta would be in line to win their 7th D3 team title in 2025, as they returned the strongest contingent of wrestlers in the small division.
However, it now appears Delta will be battling for the runner-up trophy, as Graham will come into next season as the heavy favorites and likely continue their dominance for the foreseeable future.

LaSalle becomes a contender in D2
A perennial top 10 team in D1, Cincinnati LaSalle will now be in the hunt for a team trophy in D2, especially with the departure of Graham to D3.
They may not have the horsepower to overtake Watterson this year, but they should contend with DeSales and Wauseon for the runner-up trophy.
Archbishop Alter and Perry add depth to D2
Alter makes the move up from D3 and they have a handful of excellent wrestlers who could place at the state tournament as well as a couple title contenders in Bronson Begley and Rod Owens. They should solidly be a top 10 team at the state tournament next year.
Perry has no wrestler ranked higher than 10th, but surprisingly jumped to #1 in the D2 dual meet team rankings. They will put together one of the most well-rounded teams in the state. Currently they have 11 wrestlers ranked in the top 30.
