By DubStat on December 18, 2025December 18, 2025

The Findlay Invitational Girls High School Tournament (FIGHT) stands as the premier in-season girls high school wrestling tournament in the nation. With 80 teams and more than 600 wrestlers traveling to Findlay from across the country, the level of competition is unmatched.

This event will feature an elite field that includes national champions, Fargo All-Americans, state champions, and numerous state placers, making it an early-season proving ground for the nation’s top wrestlers.

Below is a breakdown of the top contenders in each weight class.

Competition begins Friday, 12/19/2025, at the University of Findlay Koehler Center.

100 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Ella Thomas (Poland Seminary, OH) – Ironman 2nd, State 3rd, Fargo 4th
  • Emma Moore (Walton Verona, KY) – 2x state champion
  • Libertie Nigh (Urbana, OH) – Fargo 6th, State 2nd
  • Bella Graziani (Tinora, OH) – State 2nd

Other Contenders

  • Lily Enos (Batavia, IL) – Fargo 8th, State 5th
  • Katie Rowles (Jay County, IN) – Fargo 3rd, State 4th
  • Lilly Zwiefel (Gibsonburg, OH) – State 5th
  • Avery Riley (Marysville, OH)
  • Abi Forsythe (Delaware Hayes, OH)

This is the deepest bracket in the tournament. Thomas, Moore, Nigh, and Graziani are all state finalists, and Rowles has the résumé to make a run to the finals as well. Keep an eye on freshman Riley.

105 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Payton Pomeroy (Fairdale, KY) – State 4th
  • Janiah Slaughter (Huntley, IL) – 2024 State 2nd

Other Contenders

  • Teagan McKinney (Marysville, OH)
  • Kyliana Brown (Alliance, OH) – State qualifier
  • Cayden Taylor (Fowlerville, MI) – State qualifier

Pomeroy and Slaughter appear to be the clear favorites here. After that, the bracket opens up considerably.

110 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Ashlynn Brokaw (Mt. Vernon, OH) – State 1st

Other Contenders

  • Mia Forberg (Massillon Perry, OH) – State 7th
  • Khloe Nedelsky (Whiteland Community, IN) – State 6th
  • Anna Tsirambidis (North Royalton, OH) – State qualifier
  • Olivia Moyer (DeWitt, MI) – State qualifier
  • Caiden Baird (Harrison, OH) – State qualifier
  • Lillian Kendel (Gibsonburg, OH) – State qualifier
  • Delaney Tackett (Olentangy Orange) – 3x MS State 2nd

Brokaw is the heavy favorite, but the bracket behind her is deep. Several state-caliber wrestlers will be fighting for limited podium spots, and some strong competitors are likely to miss out.

115 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Camryn Gresham (Lakota East, OH) – State 1st

Other Contenders

  • Leah Willen (Harrison, OH) – State 4th
  • Lana Sheehan (Lowell, MI) – State 7th
  • Allison Schroeder (Gibsonburg, OH) – State qualifier
  • Moriah Morphet (Whiteland Community, IN) – MS State Champion
  • Eli Landgrebe (Batavia, IL) – State qualifier

Gresham enters as the frontrunner. Willen and Sheehan look like the most likely finalists opposite her, while freshman Morphet has the potential to make a deep run.

120 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Mackenzie Carder (Olentangy Orange, OH) – State 2nd, Fargo 2nd, Ironman 2nd

Other Contenders

  • Cami Leng (Marysville, OH) – State 2nd, Fargo 8th, Ironman 5th
  • Mikayla Perkins (Whiteland Community, IN) – State 5th, Fargo 6th
  • Arden Heckman (Westerville North, OH) – State 5th
  • Caroline Davis (Ross, OH) – State qualifier
  • Maycee Adams (Eaton, OH) – State qualifier
  • Miley Gross (Alliance, OH) – State qualifier
  • Sophia Lazar (Brighton, MI) – State qualifier
  • Abbi Noel (Delaware Hayes, OH) – MS State 3rd

Carder sits a step above the field, but Leng and Perkins are both excellent and should battle for a spot in the finals. Heckman could emerge as a contender, though she may end up on Carder’s side of the bracket depending on seeding.

125 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Carolyn Geckler (Massillon Perry, OH) – State 1st, Fargo 1st, Ironman 1st, Pan Am Champ

Other Contenders

  • Kandice Spry (Tri-Valley, OH) – State 2nd
  • Kayla Moroschan (Chippewa, OH) – State 3rd (1st in 2024)
  • Liberty Johnson (Clermont Northeastern, OH) – State 5th, Ironman 4th
  • London Gandy (Flossmoor, IL) – State 6th
  • Meredith Greenslade (Clyde, OH) – State 7th
  • Maya Hammon (Garrett, IN)

Geckler is the clear favorite and one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the field, despite being only a sophomore. Behind her is a deep group featuring two state finalists and multiple state placers, setting up competitive placement rounds.

130 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Lacie Knick (Olentangy Orange, OH) – State 4th (1st in 2024), Ironman 3rd

Other Contenders

  • Aubrie Rohrbacher (Huntley, IL) – State 6th
  • Marli Woods (Whiteland Community, IN) – State 7th
  • Anna Buurma (Fowlerville, MI) – State qualifier
  • Civil Pumphrey (Paulding, OH) – State qualifier
  • Eleanor Polking (Oak Hills, OH)

Knick looks like the sizeable favorite. Rohrbacher and Woods headline the rest of the field, but there isn’t much separation beyond the top spot. This bracket could produce a few surprises, and Polking is a young wrestler to watch.

135 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Kelsey King (Lakota West, OH) – State 1st
  • Nevaeh Wilson (Garret, IN) – State 1st
  • Alora Strauser (Archbishop Alter, OH) – State 2nd, Ironman 4th

Other Contenders

  • Haylynn Littleton (Harrison, OH) – State 8th, Ironman 8th
  • Cecelia Gilliam (Nordonia, OH) – state qualifier
  • Avery Leary (Fairdale, KY) – state qualifier
  • Rayna Richardson (Brighton, MI) – state qualifier
  • Makira Hall (Lakota East, OH) – state qualifier
  • Tara Davis (Olentangy Orange)

A potential clash of state champions looms between King and Wilson, with Ohio versus Indiana at the top. Strauser is right in the mix as well. Freshman Davis shows significant upside, as she and Littleton have already traded wins this season.

140 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Alexis Lazar (Brighton, MI) – Fargo 2nd

Other Contenders

  • Kiera Depinet (Seneca East, OH) – State 5th, Fargo 7th
  • Cara Leng (Marysville, OH) – Ironman 5th
  • Alanna Smith (Olentangy Orange, OH) – Ironman 6th
  • Bridgette Rice (St. Johns, OH)
  • Katelyn Norris (Big Walnut, OH) – MS State 1st

Lazar enters as the favorite after her Fargo finals run, but the rest of the field is tightly packed. Depinet, Leng, and Smith all bring national-level credentials, making this a competitive and unpredictable bracket.

145 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Emma Shephard (Massillon Perry) – State 4th, Ironman 4th
  • Annie Rapp (Indian Lake, OH)

Other Contenders

  • Chanelle Trammell (Lebanon, OH) – State 4th
  • Brooklyn Koebel (Freemont Ross, OH) – State 8th
  • Veronica Decaluwe (Harrison, OH) – State qualifier
  • Jaelyn Green (Elyria, OH) – state qualifier
  • Tamia Davis (Olentangy Orange, OH) – MS State 1st

Shephard is the favorite on paper, but Rapp is unbeaten early this season and has the wins to challenge for the title. The rest of the bracket is wide open, with returning placers and middle-school champ Davis adding depth.

155 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Rhaigyn Trenary (Garrett, IN) – State 1st
  • Natalie Carlisle (Lebanon, OH) – State 2nd
  • Vivi Legato (Archbold, OH) – State 3rd
  • Abbie Miller (Springfield, OH) – State 4th

Other Contenders

  • Lexie Riley (Olentangy Orange, OH) – State 6th, Ironman 8th
  • Taylor Owen (Black River, OH) – State 7th
  • Andalyn Barker (Alliance, OH) – state qualifier
  • Britoria Rollison (Sandusky, OH) – state qualifier

The semifinals here should be highly competitive as this is one of the deepest brackets in the tournament, featuring a state champion, a state finalist, and five total state placers.

170 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Katie Hammersmith (Marysville, OH) – state qualifier, Ironman 4th
  • Paige Gamby (Tinora, OH) – state 8th
  • Amara Crawford (Jay County, OH) – state qualifier

Other Contenders

  • Julianna Darmafall (Liberty Common, CO)
  • Evelyn Krauss (Delaware Hayes, OH) – state qualifier
  • Taryn Nail (Lebanon, OH) – state qualifier
  • Julia Bollenbacher (Findlay, OH)
  • Peyton Johnson (Olentangy Orange, OH)

Parity defines this weight. Hammersmith appears to have the edge after her fourth-place finish at Ironman, but several wrestlers in the field have a legitimate path to the title.

190 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Kanata Richardson (Bloomfield Hills, MI) – State 1st, Fargo 2nd

Other Contenders

  • Evie Parmelee (Liberty-Benton, OH) – State 6th
  • Sophia Harris (Benjamin Logan, OH) – State qualifier
  • Seraiah Jackson (Elyria, OH) – State qualifier
  • Emma Bolton (Highland, OH) – State qualifier
  • Macey Couch (Whiteland Community, IN) – MS State 1st

I don’t see anyone challenging Fargo runner-up an state champion Richardson here. Parmelee is the only other state placer in the field.

235 Pounds

Top Contenders

  • Gabby Oregon (Archbold, OH) – State 3rd, Ironman 2nd

Other Contenders

  • Saniya Erzhanova (William Mason, OH) – state qualifier
  • Brook Tietje (Patrick Henry, OH) – state qualifier
  • Leah Pierre (Whiteland Community, IN)
  • McKenna Hanes (Findlay, OH)
  • Keyonna Vann (Fremont Ross, OH)

Oregon won this tournament last year in an exciting finals match and enters as the heavy favorite again. Erzhanova and Tietje bring state experience, while Hanes could break through and challenge for a finals spot opposite Oregon.

Team

Top Contenders

  • Olentangy Orange, OH

Other Contenders

  • Massillon Perry, OH
  • Marysville, OH
  • Whiteland Community, IN
  • Brighton, MI

Olentangy Orange has both the firepower and depth to take home the team title, and it’s hard to see anyone matching their overall lineup strength.

Massillon Perry can compete with Orange at the top end, but they lack the same depth and will need dominant performances and bonus points from their stars to stay close.

Marysville represents the opposite profile, relying on depth rather than high-end title threats. A strong collective effort could put them in contention for the runner-up trophy.

Whiteland Community and Brighton sit just behind that group, and with limited separation after Orange, either could surprise and push for second place.
