DubStat’s rankings are based on a customized Elo rating system. The system is purely mathematical, produced by a computer algorithm, and takes into account around 90% of all matches wrestled across the state of Ohio.
BoroFan’s rankings are a manually produced by an individual and are based on the latest results throughout the state. BoroFan works meticulously to include as many results as possible and often times receives and utilizes dual meets and tournament results that are not readily available online.
How many wrestlers are ranked?
BoroFan typically ranks between 25 and 35 wrestlers per weight/division, while DubStat ranks around 250 wrestlers per weight/division.
How often are rankings published?
Both DubStat and BoroFan publish updated rankings once a week throughout the wrestling season.
