Jarrel Miller of St. Edward is named DubStat’s wrestler of the week for 12/25/2023 through 12/31/2023
Miller Wins Powerade Title
Jarrel Miller was the lone Ohio wrestler to win the prestigious Powerade tournament this weekend. He came into the tournament ranked #11 nationally and took out #8-ranked Jake Dailey of Wyoming Seminary in the finals by a score of 5-3.
While Miller was the second seeded wrestler in the tournament, he had the confidence to win the championship before it started.
“I knew I was going to win, I came out to dominate, score points, and that’s it.” stated Miller in a post-match interview with FloWrestling.
He continued, “that finals match…was a good display of what I can do, what I’m capable of…I just love this sport so much.”
St. Edward finished as runner-up in the 69 team field.
Miller is currently ranked #1 in Ohio division 1 at 190 lbs.
